What is a FRIEND??

A friend is somebody
Who knows you and likes you
Exactly the way that you are.

Someone who's special
And so close in thought
That no distance can ever seem far.

A friend understands you
Without any words,
Stands by you
When nothing goes right.

And willingly talks
Over problems with you
Till they somehow
Just vanish from sight.

And whether you're neighbors
Or live miles apart,
A word from a friend gives a lift
To your heart and spirit.

That shows you once more
Why friendship is life's dearest gift!

God's stubborn love for stubborn people....

How did Israel show/manifest their STUBBORNESS??

S-stought other gods instead of the one true God
T-rusted in their own wisdom and strengh
U-unfaithful(Ex.32:7-8)
B-broke the covenant(Ps.78:10)
B-bewailed/complained against God(Ex.17:3)
O-offended and displeased God
R-rebelled against God
N-eclected their responsibilities as God's children.

remedy/cure for stubbroness: God's stubborn love.

S-saved and delivered us from sin and shame(John3:17)
T-took all our sins and sickness at the cross
U-uttred prayers for us-Jesus intreded for us(Isaiah53:12)
B-ore our grief and sorrows.
B-built us up.(Jeremiah31:3-4)
O-overcome satan.(Rev.12:10)
R-risen fron the dead-Jesus is alive forevermore
N-never sleep nor slumbers;never leave nor forsake us.

How do we respond to God's stubborn love?
Isaiah60:1
=arise,shine; for your light has come!!!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you..
-we arise!!!

MALIGAYANG PAGTATAPOS, TATAY

Lolo kung siya’y tawagin ng iba,

Tatay naman ang malalapit sa kanya

Isang pambihirang lakas, ang iyong makikita

Sa kabila ng karamdaman, ewan… sadyang may himala.

Sa pagbubukang liwayway, heto na’t umaarangkada

Tinutungo ang kusina’t, kape ay magtitimpla

Ngunit bago pa iyon, kayrami nang nagawa

Madaling araw pa lamang---kasarapan ng tulog siya na’y nagbobomba.

Ingay mula sa poso, mga katoto siya ng lumilikha

Pasasalamat naman ako’t ako’y nagising ng maaga

Almusal niya’y kanin, ihahalo sa hot coffee niya

Saka sisimulang isuot ang sapatos-pangtravel na tila original pa.

Maaliwalas na umaga, wari’y ibong lumilipad,

Kay daming kayang gawin, kakahuyan kanya nang tatahakin

Bago pa mag-alas diyes, heto na’t mga prutas ay dala-dala

Minsan nama’y mga sanga, puputulin saka ibebenta.

Tawag ko sa kanya, TATAY BIBO,

Laging parang bagong gupit, sa sarili siya ang barbero,

Sastre ay siya pa rin sa mga damit niyang may punit,

Lahat ginagawa ito, isang kamay lang ang gamit.

Sa maliit na bata’y sadya ring magiliw,

Nandyan sa pisngi nila’y siya’y lagging naaaliw,

Kukuha ng pagkain at sa kanila’y masuyong iaabot.

Perang pension, perang galling din sa pinagbentahan ng sari-sari

Ang tao’y may pagkakamali na sa kanya’y nakikita

Sa kanyang mga labi, wala mang salitang nabibigkas,

Ngunit sa puso niya’y alam kong siya’y nagging tapat,

Tapat na ginampanan sa kanya’y iniatas,

Sa Diyos na lumikha, siya lamang ay nagpapasalamat.

Sa mga punong itinanim, ika’y mahirap limutin,

Pumanaw ka ma’t nang-iwan, mga alaala mo’y tulad sa bituin,

Aming matatanaw, masisilaya’t, parang ika’y nandyan pa rin,

Ikaw an gaming lolo, Lolong maalalahanin,

Lolong masipag, matiyaga at sa puso’y nasasalamin

Ang baas ng pagsisikap na di kukupas,

Sa iyong pagpanaw, asahan mong ang Panginoong Hesus ang Iyong Tanglaw,

Kasama at Kapiling,

Sa puso naming naririto’y aming sasambitin,
